We currently have 6 ipods available for loan through the library.

Equipment available:
6 x 80 Gb ipods
2 x lapel microphones
2 x belkin plug in microphones
2 x Micromac microphones

So what can I use ipods for?

Ipods can be used in many different ways:

  • to record interviews which can then be turned into podcasts.
  • to view interactive material such as video/slideshows while on the move.
  • to provide course material to students.

How do I create content for an ipod?

There are many ways to create content for an ipod.  These include:

  • Audacity/Garage Band:

Software that allows you to edit audio and convert it into podcasts.  Audacity is currently available on all college computers.

  • Mogopop

Free content creation tool for ipods.

  • iwriter

Create simple learning materials for ipods quickly.
